Does the army accept tattoos on the part of the body
Hi, yes it’s fine, I have one on my foot and ankle.
However, if your tattoo is offensive, obscene or racist it will stop you joining. Tattoos that aren't offensive in any way are not normally a problem, depending where they are on your body and how visible they are. If unsure go to a local careers office to get them to check for you.
More details are at: https://apply.army.mod.uk/how-to-join/can-i-join/tattoos-and-piercings
As Georgina has mentioned above, if they are offensive in any way then yes they be a hurdle. Don’t try and go through the process and hide them as they will be found at Assessment Centre.
A go to guideline would be to put a long sleeved formal shirt with a collar on, if the tattoo is still visible then it may be a problem.
Regards
