This would be up to the medical team to decide although it may affect you in some way sometimes it helps due to your attention to detail and there are currently people who serve who also have OCD. Certain things such as severity and your ability to cope with it will be whats looked at but it is the medical teams overall responsibility to make the final decision.

Thank you for your response. I checked the latest JSP 950 medical policy leaflet 6-7-7 and it states "Candidates with a diagnosis of obsessive-compulsive or related disorders (including hypochondriasis) are UNFIT as these disorders have a high risk of relapse and are likely to impact on military employability. For transient tic disorders see Annex G Neurology." This being said i suppose it would not be possible to join the the Army with a history of OCD?

On occasions such as this it is based on risk its not a straight no as mentioned it would be up to the medical team to make the final decision and they can sometimes see the risk being minimal in which case they could still approve your application, it is often based on severity and several other factors but the only way to know for sure is to apply and see what the medical team say.
