Hi James,
There are different types of Armoured Engineers so Yes and No is the vague answer.
Having said that there isn't a need for formal qualifications required to apply, therefore, the Army provides all the training you would require.
If you haven't already done so I'd recommend researching the role(s) that you are interested in pursuing, as this would enable you to make the best decision for you.
