How should I prepare for the Fitness Test, taking in that I am 14 and wanting to choose the infantry as a soldier, how should I prepare beforehand? Exercises and preparation advice will be greatly appreciated, thank you!
Hi - I'd recommend taking a look at the new fitness assessments at the Army selection centre, they changed recently; you can find info about this on the Army jobs website.
For the 2k run, the best thing you can do (as simple as it sounds) is get out running. Build yourself up from whatever level you are at so you can run 2k comfortably at a steady pace, then slowly pick up the pace so you get a good time. You can also try interval training to build up your cardiovascular fitness. Try downloading the Army Fit app on your phone, it's a good tool.
