You get a choice in the capbadge you choose -ie you could choose to join The Rifles over The Yorkshire Regt for example. When it comes to the different Regiments you'd be told for example you're going to 5 Rifles rather than 2 Rifles. But you do have some choice of location. I hope this helps.

At present, yes but there will be certain regiments that will start to fill up etc.

In phase one training in the infantry training centre, you will get something called a PPP, personal posting preference where you deceive your 3 options for regiments. You will generally get one of these choices, you should have a desired choice prior to joining

This is changing slightly and will change probably next year when the infantry becomes infantry.
