Do you explicitly need UCAS points to apply for officer roles within the army?

I’m 25, from Wales and have a two year old daughter with my partner. For the last 4.5 years I’ve been in leadership positions all within retail. Managing over 85 direct staff, 3 of whom are supervisors and 200+ indirectly. I completed my GCSE’s and left to work full time after sitting my AS levels.

    Good evening,

The prerequisites are just that. The absolute minimum standards. If you don't meet the requirement then there are plenty of other roles as a Soldier that you could have access to without the UCAS points.

If you have a desire to become an Officer you could potentially join as a Soldier, utilise courses whilst serving to enable you to gain a Commission.
