do i need a maths gcse to become a sergeant in the reserves. and can i join the reserves whilst i am still in college

    also another question, can you complete your reserve training in one chunk or does it have to be split up into different parts?

    Hi Kieran,
    I'm a Regular soldier so I only have limited experience with the Reserve application process, but are lots of roles that don't require any formal qualifications. You can find out more on the Army jobs website (link below).
    It sounds like your best bet would be to look up your local Reserve unit and ask them your other questions (link below).
    Whilst you may not need a GCSE to promote to Sergeant, you will be expected to pass certain literary and numeracy standards, but you'll be able to get help in achieving these.
