Hi Shannon,
I assume you are talking about Reserve basic training due to everything else being far more?
If So the requirement is the same, being away from family and living on base for basic training is in fact part of said training.
In part to see how you deal with being away from home. No sense in not being able to commit to 6 weeks away when an Operational Tour could be up to 9 months away.
