Do I get any choice over what infantry regiment I am attached to? Even which battalion?
I am based in Wiltshire so I believe I’ll be going to the Rifles which is my preferred choice, I’d like to go to the 2nd battalion. I’m going to Harrogate for the next intake

Hello. You don't get to choose but would get to say your preference. You are likely to get a battalion in the region you want. My advice is to have a good reason to go to a specific battalion so you have a better chance to convince somebody to send you there.
