do education waivers exist?

Hi I'm an ex regular looking to rejoin the Army in the Int Corps. I was in the Royal Engineers for 7 years previously. However I am am missing 1 GCSE in an academic subject but at 16 I just wasnt academic (I'm late 20s now). I have 4 Cs and i am wondering if there is any way to waive it?

    Hi there.

Unfortunately if its a pre-requisite qualification then there is no waiver for this unless you have a qualification that could be considered similar with the same sort of skills even then this would need to be taken on a case by case basis. You could contact the Int Corps to see what they thought. Alternatively as you are still young enough you could seek to complete the GCSE in Civi street and still be within the age limits to join.

Probably not the answer you were hoping for but hopefuly gives you some options. Please let me know if you have any more questions.
