As a driver you could go everywhere and anywhere in the world and therefore could very well see combat. Lots of RLC drivers have and have driven in some really scary situations, equally you might find some RLC drivers who've not. It really does depend on time, place, where and who you are posted with, what's happening in the world etc etc. I hope this helps.
