Depression 2 Years Ago - What Are my Odds of Getting In?
Hello! In December 2017 at the start of University I was diagnosed with depression and given a prescription of 20mg Fluoxetine. The episode (along with treatment pathway) lasted 17 months (April/May 2019), though I did not pick up the last prescription. I have looked into the latest JSP 950 (April 2020) and it says that if the whole episode did not last any longer than 24 months, one may be fine. Additionally, it requires one to be free from treatment and further medication for 2 years - which I have been. Based on this (and evidence I have collected from mental health professionals stating fitness to serve), are my chances of being declared fit good? Thank you.

I am afraid I don't work as part of the medical recruitment team, usually those doctors are employed by capita. However it sounds like you have read the same information I would have looked up!
If you feel that you meet the requirements you stand a good chance of getting in. I would caution that sometimes your initial application will be rejected, if this does happen, please do consider following the appeals process as this enables your case to be considered in closer detail and many people are successful on appeal.
