Currently in my final year of a medical degree. Can I apply now? Would I be a commissioned medical officer during FY1?

Hello,
You can apply to join at anytime, but the bursary position for your cohort may be full, in which case you would be looking at joining as a direct entrant after FY2.
Even if you did get a bursary, you wouldn't commission until you complete the short commissioning course after FY2, prior to this you will be a medical cadet.
