Only asking this as i am not a very confident person and get really nervous for formal chats as it’s my for my career and i really want to do well. (joining the royal engineers)
Good morning
You are assessed on every element of the 'Assessment Centre', and the interview is a key part which is designed to test your understanding, knowledge and desire in joining the British Army. Brush up on your knowledge and history of the Royal Engineers, and this will benefit you.
I also advise you conduct practice interviews beforehand to help boost your confidence. You will not be expected to be the most outgoing, confident person in the world but you will want to be in the best placed position in obtaining a pass.
Good luck and just be yourself
Hello.
To add to the above, yes you can be failed on the interview but its important to know that its about the quality of your answers not how you present it. Knowing specifics like when, where, what future training and for how long you will be there are important. Also knowing by heart the British Army Values and Standards and being able to explain what they mean to the Army is important, as they are likely to come up as questions in your interview. Hope this helps and please feel free to ask any other questions.
