Hi Ashwin,
You will officially be posted to a medical regiment, and they will be in charge of all your administration (which deployments/exercises you do, writing your yearly report, sorting out your pay etc.. it will be your medical regiment who you represent if you play sport as well). Some medical regiments will expect you to attend relatively frequently and teach the CMTs, others will manage you from afar.
You will then be assigned a location to work at, it will be a military medical centre with a GP who is your clinical supervisor for your time as a GDMO. That med centre may have several regiments attached to it, and you are likely to have involvement with all of their soldiers, but you may see more soldiers from a particular regiment if their own GP is away on a deployment for a bit.
