Can you still be in the mounted horse/ ceremonial gunner on horse and have to do No-combat/ not go to the front lines

Hello. Yes, you can join Kings Troop within the royal artillery which is a permanently ceremonial role. You would still have to maintain a level of competency with basic military skills but it would be unlikely that you would have to deploy on operations.
