Joe,
I'm not sure entirely what aspect of the Officer experience you're after, but here are some suggestions written by British Army Officers from my own library that may pique your interest as they all involve personal stories:
Stand Up Straight by Major General Paul Nanson (a book on life lessons learned at RMAS)
The Habit of Excellence by Lt. Col. Langley Sharp (an insight into the leadership in the British Army and how it can be applied anywhere)
No Way Out by Major Adam Jowett (on his command of Easy Company during the Siege of Musa Qala)
Chemical Warrior by Col. Hamish de Bretton-Gordon (on his life, work, and CBRN warfare - a little more specific, but a good read!)
Naturally, there are countless more out there, but I hope there's enough there to inspire you!
The Junior Officers REading Club by Patrick Hennessy is quite good too. The first 1/2 of the book is about his experiences at Sandhurst.
