    Hi Macaulay,


    You can join as a Regular Soldier as long as you're enlisted before your 36th birthday. The majority of recruits are in their late teens/early twenties, but many (including myself) can and do join later. In my experience, soldiers who join at a later age tend to have more 'life experience' and be more mature, but other than that there isn't much difference.

    A Full Army career is 22 years. The minimum service is 4. People do everything in between. Its totally up to the individual.
