can you leave it at anytime or for life?

Can you leave the army reserves anytime or do you have to serve permanently and what would you suggest joining and in the reserves do you go to war or is it just training?

Hi, great question. The Army Reserves fits around your life style. You can leave at any point and if you move somewhere you can move into a different Army Reserves unit. It really is the best of both worlds. As a reservist you could be as involved as much or as little as you want -if you want to mobilise and go on Ex or Operations around the UK or world the opportunity is there (and actively encouraged) but it is also understood that you have a civilian career / job and that is first and foremost and you should fit in your Army Reserves Career around that. Some individuals make the Army Reserves their career but that is absolutely an individual choice. If there is a war then Army Reservists would be mobilised. I hope this helps.
