can you leave during your basic / phase 2 traning if you dont like it?

Hi, this is a great question. There is a period of time called your 'Discharge as of right' (DAOR) period during Phase 1 training. This comes after 28 days of service - you can then DAOR before 3mths service. Once this DAOR window has passed you are unable to sign off and you will need to stay for your full commitment (4yrs). If you are Under 18, you have to serve 28 days but can DAOR within the first 6mths. I hope this helps.
