Hello Jamie, whilst your primary role won't be focused towards it, in the way that someone in the REME or Engineers would be, there are plenty of of opportunities for continuing your studied in the infantry. One way would be to join a Regiment that has Armoured or Mechanised vehicles like Warrior or Foxhound. You could then do a driving and maintenance course to qualify you as a driver which would allow you to focus on vehicle maintenance on a day to day basis. The Army also offers learning credits that you can put towards studying subjects that you are interested in outside of day to day duties.
