I have had exercise induced asthma when I was around 12 but I am completely fine now and have been for some years
Hi Liam,
Thanks so much for your question.
In short I'm afraid I cannot tell you whether that would be a problem or not because I am not medically qualified to do so. I do know that asthma and hayfever are potentially two areas that might mean you fail the aircrew medical but there are several other factors that are considered before a decision is made (how long ago did you have it, how badly etc.)
I'm afraid your only way of getting a definitive answer would be to speak to one of the aviation doctors.
If you touch base with the AAC recruiting team via this website they might be able to give you some further pointers and get a more certain answer for you.
Sorry I can't give you a definite yes or no answer but I hope that helps a bit.
Take care,
Maddie
