Yes women have a place amongst our Infantry ranks, transgender or not.
Basic Training is as difficult as you make it. Soldiers are extremely fit due to the training we endure and build upon.
That being said, the fitter you are prior to joining the easier the transition from Civilian to Soldier will be.
