can i reapply to a role with the British army or RAF if unsuccessful at first application?

Isaac G. asked a question to Josh W.

I want to apply as an intelligence or artillery officer and have a criminology degree, a post graduate certificate in psychological well-being, and a grade C in both maths and English. BUT, I do not have a grade C GCSE in science, as stated as an educational requirement for both roles. will this mean the application is a straight reject without the GCSE? regardless of my further education? and if so, can i reapply to a role in the army or any of the other UK armed forces instead, or would i have to wait to reapply?

    Hi Isaac,

The qualifications stated on the website are guidance and we are able to apply for exemptions where it can be seen that the breadth and level required has been met in other ways. So absolutely apply and this can then be discussed with one of our Officer Recruiting team to see if you are eligible for this. If you don't meet these requirements then your application can absolutely be changed to another role that your eligible for without needing to reapply.
