Great question. Regrettably, you'd have to find other arrangements for your Doberman during training. Once in, though, you can request permission to have your dog live with you and even come into work with you. This depends on your chain of command, of course.
Everywhere I've worked has had dogs of all sizes on camp and in the workplace, so its not unusual, either.
