Hi Lee,
2014DIN01-213 provides the policy and direction on Reserve to Regular transfer. Defence Manning (Army) has overall responsibility and may grant authority out-with it as well. The policy is designed to be a flexible continuum of Service between the Reserves and Regulars. The Official Army Vacancies List (OAVL) is the document that individuals should refer to if they are considering making an application to transfer. It can be accessed through the Army SharePoint Homepage (left hand side). Career Managers from the Army Personnel Centre will manage the transfer. i would advise speaking to your Adjutant who can assist you. Ask them to help you with the DIN and application (AF B241B) after consulting the OAVL.
It you are an ex-Reservist you must apply through: https://apply.army.mod.uk/how-to-join/can-i-join and your application will be processed by the National Recruiting Centre.
To join as a Regular directly (not from being a Reservist) as a soldier you must be at least 16 years and be enlisted before your 36th birthday. To join as an officer you must be between 18 and 29 years old but higher age limits apply for specialists (doctors etc) and over 30s are considered on a case by case basis. Contact 0345 600 8080 to discuss your options.
