Provided that you can still pass the rest of the medical then it should not be a problem. However the medical team will make the final decision based on the information they have and your medical records.

As mentioned it will be up to the medical team to make the final decision. They will look at the circumstances and any medical procedures performed as well as all of you medical records and not just specifically one thing. The appeals process is reviewed by a panel of doctors who will discuss the case in more detail and vote as to weather you will be suitable for service or not rather than an individual comparing medical against policies.
