can i join as an infantry soldier and still take an nvq l3 mechanics or vice versa be a mechanic on front line on patrol

Hi Sam,
The apprenticeships that are soldiers undertake are linked directly to the role they undertake and as such as crossover like that wouldn't be possible. Our vehicle mechanics are part of the Royal Electrical Mechanical Engineers who support all of our units but are unlikely to be on a front line patrol.
