Can I join as a registered biomedical scientist after I have completed my degree and placement year?
After I complete my degree I will be able to apply as a fully registered BMS. I would also like to know about career and rank progression and if there are any opportunities for international deployment?

BMS has good career, progression and travel opportunities. If you are already qualified and registered you even have the opportunity to commission as an officer. For this the terms are listed on the army jobs website as to what the entry requirements are. Just because you qualify in this field does not automatically accept you in to the Army. You would still need to meet all the other criteria.
