Hello,
You can certainly join as a mother, there are lots of serving soldiers who have children.
You may face different challenges to your colleagues without children, but they are certainly challenges that can be overcome with the right support.
I am currently serving and have a 9 month old. I have no plans to leave the military and so far things are working out well for us.
I would say that joining the Army should be a decision that is made as a family, as it will affect all of you, and you will need to think about how you feel about working or moving away from your support network, as well as how you might manage during periods of separation.
Family life in the military isn't for everyone, but it does work for many.
Best of luck with your decision!
