After training, life in the Army isn't too different from any other job when it comes to work/life balance. As soon as you finish work, you can do as you please. Normally, the only exception to this is when you're deployed on exercise or operations.
If you're in an established long term relationship, or if you're married, the Army can also offer you Service Family Accommodation (a house nearby) for you and your family to live in.
