Can I findout if my boyfriend is lying about having served in the army, his army number starts with 96 instead of 24

Stories don't make sense either, and there's no pictures of his past anywhere

Hi, if you think your boyfriend is lying chances are he probably is. If his number doesn't start with 2 . . (and should be a 8 digit number) then he wasn't in the army. If he joined and left in the last 10 years however he might have a 300 . . . something number (still 8 digits) but unless he's in his 70s he wouldn't have a 96 . . . something number. If you want quick proof get him to say his army number: people say it in 2s, for example two four/ zero two/ . . not necessarily like you'd tell someone a phone number. And no-one forgets their army number or stumbles on the numbers - ever! Even if they've been out 50 years!!!
