Can I enlist if I don't live in the uk? I have my citizenship and all that but haven't lived there in the last few years

I was looking online, it says you have to have been living in the uk for 5 years, I'm in SA at the moment and will be till I graduate high school is that fine?

For some of our roles that require security clearance straight away then this may be the case but it is not applicable to all of our roles.
