If you join the regular army you can only join one cap badge, Royal Army Medical Corps for CMTs or Royal Logistics Corps for drivers (although other cap badges also have specialist drivers).

If you become a CMT you will most likely still be trained to drive, what you drive will depend on which regiment you join. For example, if you were to join an armoured medical regiment, you would need to know how to drive various armoured vehicles. My last regiment was armoured and used Land Rovers, Mastiffs and Bulldogs.

Similarly if you become a driver, like all soldiers, you will still receive some battlefield first aid training.

Some soldiers decide to transfer between cap badges during their career, so a driver may apply to become a CMT and vice versa.

Alternatively, if you mean can you be a part time civilian driver, then yes you can join the reserves as a CMT and continue to be a driver in your civilian job.
