Hi Alex,
During you career as a CMT you will have a range of postings. Each time you move you will be given a list of the available postings, you can then submit a PPP (postings preference proforma) detailing which jobs you would like to do. So yes, if you are a CMT you are likely to have the opportunity to apply to work with the paras and do P Coy, either directly attached to a para unit, or as part of 16 medical regiment.
As with many jobs, there can be some competition for the more popular ones, so you won't always get your first choice.
