Absolutely they can. I have personally known a few people who have done it (re-traded). Fairly simple process, just make it known to your Chain of Command (CoC), and follow the process given. Note you are still subject to entry standards for any particular role and will have to wait for course availability and commencement once/if accepted, but already being a trained Soldier does expedite the process. If you're already thinking about re-trading however, I would think carefully and choose your role that you think is the best fit now at this point in your career. Much easier to be at the bottom of a ladder you want to climb, rather than climbing another knowing you're probably going to start at the bottom of another someday soon. Just my opinion.
