Becoming a doctor in the army after medical school.

Anonymous asked a question to Tori C.

I'm currently set to graduate medical school in 2026 (after 6 years). After my F1/2 years I'm considering joining the army as a doctor. Just wanted to ask do you have to have previous experience with the army (e.g cadets etc) prior to applying and how did you go about finding out how to apply?

    Hello,

You don't need any prior experience, but it helps to show commitment in other ways (eg playing team sports) if you haven't done cadets or OTC.

You should just apply via the normal route on the Army website https://jobs.army.mod.uk/apply/

Best of luck with your application.
