I'm interested in joining the army and becoming an HR specialist. I wanted to find out how much of the role involves being deployed and serving in wars as opposed to admin/office work. Someone has said that you'll only know if the army is right for you if you join and see for yourself. But I wanted to find out what the minimum amount of time you have to serve is because what if it turns out that it isn't the right career for me?
Hi, The role of a HR Specialist is a varied one and depending on the Unit you are serving with will depend on where you are being deployed to. Realistically you would be required to do your job in an office environment, in the UK this could be in all sorts of locations and overseas if on Operations or Exercise you would still be required to get your office work done albeit in a different setting.
