This can change on the Operational commitments each Unit is aligned to.
Personally, I've had years where I'd be away for 11 out of 12 months. Years of a few weeks away here and there.
Equally I've been in positions such as now in Recruiting where I'm non deployable in this role and therefore won't travel anywhere for 2 years.
It swings in roundabouts and ultimately it can also depend on how much you volunteer for as that can get you more travel should you wish.
