As a dog handler, do you live with the dog
I want to become a dog handler but I am unsure whether you live and take care of the dog.

In camp, no. the dogs are housed in kennels.
On exercise the dog will "live" with you a little bit as you will be handler. It will still have a cage to sleep and travel in.
Ops and deployments are similar, the dog will have a kennel/cage on the base. I'll your on the task the dog will have a cage in a vehicle. There maybe times where the dog stays with you over night, but its due to operational need.
