Army nurse in front line combat?
Do army nurses ever get the chance to be in front-line combat? I know itâs generally a non-combat role but would it be offered if volunteered for example emergency nursing/ specialists. Thanks :)

It's a tricky question, as the 'front line' is not quite the concept it used to be years ago. However, generally speaking, yes. Army nurses can deploy to high risk areas to provide emergency medical care.
Although nurses deploy to high risk areas, it is important to emphasise that they still remain non-combatants. This means that they may only use a weapon in self defence or to defend a patient that cannot defend themselves. Clinicians are never 'combatants' and will never take part in offensive combat, but they may be present to treat casualties (both friendly and enemy forces).
