So if you have an interest in a particular speciality, it is very easy to find opportunities to get in touch with consultants and trainees in that cadre, and help with research/audit etc.. to build your cv. You are likely to be granted time to attend conferences and courses, and there may even be some funding available depending on what it is you would like to do.
