How often would you see your family and is it likely to miss special events like weddings etc.
Hello. During basic training your time off is limited but you do have a few weekends off. Once you complete training, unless you on duty, you should get most weekends off. Also, we have tons of annual leave so you can take leave for special events as long as you're not deployed or on important duties

No problem at all. Also you could potentially be posted closer to home if that's something you wish. My job in the Staff and Personnel Support branch in the Adjutant General's Corps means you can be posted to any Army unit.
