Are there any women in the paras? Do you have to enter the army in a different infantry role?

The first woman has recently passed the course to become a paratrooper. However, you can still do parachute courses in any other trade, this is not only an infantry role.

No there are no women in the paras. There are women who have completed all arms p company which allows you to work alongside the parachute regiment as an attached role. currently there are no women wearing the parachute regiment cap badge. Women are able to attempt parachute regiment depot which makes you a paratrooper although none have done so as of yet.
