I'm finding improving my run time hard as well as building strength in my upper body. Any suggestions would be great!
Try running 100 meters or from lamp post to lamp post and rest in-between you'll soon see a improvement keep going for runs but don't injure yourself
I find just keep pushing your self but don't over do it as you could injure your self
find new limits and push
Join the strava TLC page to keep you motivated and look at other people’s work outs but mainly I find to get stamina up fartlek is the one most people use look it up

I've just finished a 3 year degree so my fitness level is near enough to zero. I've been doing couch-to-5K in preparation for the army fitness app which is a bit embarrassing. I suppose it's just a case of practicing and building up my ability over time
