Hi, yeah you have to do the basic training for all roles when joining the Army. You also have to pass the medical criteria for being able to join. Dependent on what you think the reason is medically that you won't pass the medical, then it depends if it is worth applying, that is your call to make. We are not doctors so don't decide and trained Army doctors will make that decision, but there is a list on the Army website of things that will bar you medically from joining. If in doubt then apply and you will get an answer as there is an online medical questionnaire at the start of the process.
