Hello, good question.
While it is not usually the day to day job of an Intelligence Corps soldier or officer, there will be time when our personnel will be required to serve in combat situations. This has occurred throughout our history, from WW2 to Afghanistan.
Should there be a need for you to fight, you will have received the required training as part of your basic training, training within unit and on any pre-deployment training that you will have.
I hope this helps,
Paul
