Your foundation years as a doctor are for learning the trade once you hit year 3/4 you should then choose what route you want to go down, emergency medicine is one of these that the army supports. I don't know what you mean by PPS but once qualified GDMOs can be attached to infantry units and will have the day to day responsibility of looking after them but this would normally full under the brackets of those working in primary healthcare under a Regimental Aid Post (RAP) However for this you will still go on the same deployments etc as they would. As for SF you would need to qualify through the SF selection process before being considered for this role your responsibilities may change slightly as a result but the concept is the same.
