Are Firearms optional for roles that might not need it like an ammo tech

Everybody will be trained on firearms.. this means when going though basic training you'll be trained on the weapon system. As you’ll be a soldier first trade is second. Also every year you’ll conduct an ACMT ( annual combat marksmanship test)
