Are army nurses ever involved in combat?
I'm starting down the nursing pathway with an Access course this year aiming to go onto a nursing degree next year. I would apply to become an army student nurse however I'm transgender, currently transitioning and I would like to complete my basic training as my real self. I'm curious about whether in the role of army nurse you ever find yourself in a combat situation like CMTs do?

Usually no, the environments that nurses work in is usually hospital based however you would still have to be trained for such scenarios should the field hospital or the environment that you are working gets attacked as you still have the responsibility of care to protect the casualties, as well as being a soldier.
